The fishing artifact is already implemented and in the game, so you should be able to earn it once Legion releases. They talked about adding a few different variations of the accessory you could earn, but it didn't feel great. The original approach felt too formulaic and hacked on.If a Rogue set would work really well with poison vials, the team may add the poison vials to the set belt. In the future, rather than just giving every class a cosmetic accessory, the team will build on the theme of the set. There is still a lot of opportunity for the other cosmetic accessories that are less obvious choices than librams and quivers, such as accessories for Rogues. What we have seen so far in Legion is about as far as the cosmetic class accessories will go for the Artifact portion of it.They were able to use some of the ideas for Artifacts or part of Artifacts. After the team posted the blog, they started talking about Legion and Artifacts and how it would impact this idea.Only a fraction of the ideas from the Cosmetic Class Accessories blog made it into Legion. There will be asymmetrical armor and custom 3D shapes on things like gloves and chests. In Legion, there will be less mirroring, symmetrical armor sets, and sets that use the same few 3D shapes we have seen forever. We had the opportunity to talk to Tom Chilton and Chris Robinson.Ĭosmetic Class Accessories and Armor Sets It tells the story of Illidan and the Illidari.
There will be a new animated series in Legion called Harbingers, similar to the Lords of War series in Warlords.Another stat squish is coming in the expansion after Legion. There is a plan in place to make it better in Legion. The devs recognize that BRF came out too quickly and release pacing in Warlords wasn't great.Improved social features won't be in at release, but hopefully soon afterwards. The team wants to use feedback on the melee updates to inform the caster animation changes. Caster animations are on the list to improve.Your loot specialization will control what legendary items can drop for you in Legion.
It irks me that they're selling it completely independently AND for $60 now.Update (4:30 PM ET): The Warcraft movie may have a $31M opening in the US. I could be wrong on that second part, however, but it was AT THE VERY LEAST an option they put in the game BECAUSE they were providing the service already with the new expansion. I'm fairly certain this is the first time the character boost has come first separately, and the only time I recall where the character boost happened mid expansion. They always went live side-by-side though. You would get a boost to the current max when you pre-ordered the new expansion, and you could also optionally purchase additional character boosts to the current max level I think for $40 normally. Not as far as I remember, but I also did quit playing seriously at the end of Legion and quit playing retail altogether even casually during the first patch of BfA when I realized it was Legion but worse (IMO).Įvery level boost I PERSONALLY remember was only released side-by-side with the pre order of the expansion. Though, I do recall having seen boost updates when a raid was almost released before.
